Eco-Friendly Driving Tips:

Not everyone can afford a new hybrid vehicle or a hydrogen car. But, that does
not mean you can't be doing something to help fuel efficiency, save money at
the gas pump, and lessen the amount of population going into our air. Here are
a few tips to keep in mind while you're driving that can make a difference.

Avoid fast starts. It will just burn more gas ($$$) and create more pollution.
Allow for a longer break time when stopping. It's better on your fuel and breaks.
Lighter cars are more fuel efficient. Don't keep unnecessary items in your car.
Parking in the shade will keep your car cool and lessen fuel evaporation.
Open your vents at first to start the cooling process before turning on the AC.
Plan trips around rush hour traffic to avoid stop and go driving.

"We are all addicts of fossil fuels in a
state of denial, about to face cold turkey.
And like so many addicts about to face cold
turkey, our leaders are now committing
violent crimes to get what little is left of
what we're hooked on."
Kurt Vonnegut
